My Story

What you do now could change the course of your life.

My Story

Take your time finding a Clinical Supervisor, Counsellor or Psychotherapist that you feel connected with. Find someone that you consider will deeply understand you, create the space for healing, learning and encourage the best of you to emerge gracefully.

I was in your position twenty years ago, desperately seeking a counsellor or therapist. I found a psychotherapist who changed the direction of my life. The therapist helped me connect with the root cause of my distress in a creative, compassionate and challenging way. The connection that we made gave me a deep sense of freedom, energy and purpose.

I was so impressed by the transformational nature of Gestalt Therapy that I spent the next five years training to be a Psychotherapist with the Gestalt Institute of Ireland.

I am now an accredited Clinical Supervisor and Psychotherapist  with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I opened my own private counselling practice in 2008.

After graduating, I completed a one-year internship with the Rutland Addiction & Rehabilitation Centre and went on to work in both day and residential addiction centres. Childhood trauma can be a significant factor when exploring the root causes of an individual’s addiction.

The well-being of my clients and supervisees is really important to me. I've completed several postgraduate courses, including the counselling process concerning issues of sexual violence, diploma in clinical supervision. I also trained in facilitating domestic violence interventions.

I am a qualified Workplace, Family and Separating Couples Mediator and accredited as an Advanced Mediator with the Mediators’ Institute Ireland.

I also trained and qualified as a Workplace & Life Coach.

I had the privilege of completing mindfulness-based training with Thích Nhất Hạnh and Mindfulness Ireland.  Meditation training with Ecknath Easwaran and the Dublin Buddhist Centre.
